S'mores cookies. If you love s'mores but hate sticky fingers and chins, these cookies are for you!
While having two small kids is really lowering my standards for cleanliness, I still get antsy about things like Doritos residue in the hair and chocolate on clothes. Although they taste good, obviously, traditional s'mores are just a wee bit too sloppy for me. Fortunately, their key components of graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows are easily adaptable into other desserts like pies, cupcakes, and cookies.
Celebrity chef and restaurateur Marc Murphy has created a recipe for s'mores cookies that incorporates graham cracker crumbs and chocolate chips into the dough and has miniature marshmallows pressed into the cookies mid-bake. They're chewy and soft and deliver all of the delicious flavor of s'mores with none of the gooey mess!
Since I only used a handful of marshmallows to make these cookies, it was essential to store the rest in an airtight container lest I end up with a bag of tiny white rocks in a few days. The OXO POP Container Baking Set is perfect for keeping everyday baking essentials like sugar, flour, and chocolate chips (yeah, they're an everyday essential!) fresh. They're airtight, stackable, space-efficient, and now completely dishwasher safe. The 1.1-quart container was just big enough to hold the rest of my marshmallows! Check out this handy storage guide to get the most out of your containers.
I've done a couple of posts before for Cookies for Kids' Cancer, and I'm excited to contribute again this year. OXO is a sponsor and they'll be donating $100 to Cookies for Kids' Cancer for each social or blog post (like this one!), and $5 for each time the hashtag #OXOGoodCookies is used (up to their $100,000 commitment). All of the funds raised go toward research to develop new, improved, and less toxic treatments for pediatric cancer.
Want to help? You can buy cookies here, or sign up to host a cookie swap or bake sale here. These s'mores cookies would be a great contribution to either!

Yes, s'mores are a better treat for older kids! Great idea. And good of you and OXO to support this charity!
Glad to see you update the blog and share another great recipe again, Grace. These just remind me that I haven't baked any cookie in a while. They surely look very tempting and addictive as well.
I'm not sure these s'mores cookies would last one day in my house! We will love everything about them! So wonderful of OXO to support an amazing charity! I don't have those containers (yet!), but my sister uses one for her freshly ground coffee and she LOVES it!
I love how the marshmallows get all golden and gooey in these cookies. They look absolutely irresistible. Best yet, they were created for such a wonderful cause.
Congrats on the addition to the family. Going from one to 2 is a big jump. Those cookies look terrific! My oldest daughter has an OXO container for chocolate chips; her husband knows enough to be certain that it's always full, because it is a staple!
Yay! It's great to see you back to blogging. Hope all is well with the little ones. I am sure these cookies were a HUGE hit!
These cookies look super and what a terrific cause!
I love s'mores in any form! And, it's true that the traditional concept is crazy messy. These look delicious!
Smore cookies are such a no brainer yet I wonder why I have never seen them before because it's a genius idea! :D
These cookies look delicious and yes wayyy less messy than the original! I couldn't imagine cooking without my OXO can opener, I'll have to check out their storage container - you had me at brown sugar saver :) Thanks for the yummy recipe (I love that it uses actual graham cracker crumbs) and sharing a great cause!

This looks like the best kinda cookie!! I will be making these for sure!
If the scarcity of flour, yeast, and eggs is any indication, people are definitely baking up a storm during this crazy time. I hope you and your family are safe and well.
I can never say no to a delicious cookie such as this one!
HI Grace
