People who know me well know that I don't squeal or get particularly sappy about much of anything*, but when I first saw these cookies, I thought they were absolutely adorable. It's the closest I've come to making an "awww!" noise in a long time**.
...strawberry season, that is. Yep, there are no less than 5 trucks set up in random places in my area selling fresh strawberries out of the back. They're good strawberries, too, and I can't get enough.
Savory scones almost always look so drab.
Try as I might, I just can't get into golf. I don't like to play it (though putt-putt is sometimes a gas) and I really don't like watching it. I do, however, get a kick out of some of the clothes golfers wear.
Stripes. Layers. Gradations. Stratification. Any way you say it, I'm delighted by the effect.
The next time someone asks me to tell her my favorite cookie, I'll have a different answer than in times past. I've previously listed snickerdoodles and oatmeal scotchies (among others) as the cookies at the top of my list, but no more. The throne(♥) has been usurped.
Would you judge me harshly if you knew that at one point in my life, I wore camouflage in a non-hunting capacity? I hope not. I wasn't the only one.

Ah, gravy. Red eye, chipped beef, or sawmill, you really can't go wrong when you're looking for a flavorful and comforting way to greet the day.
