Progress is slow and steady, but we all know that's what wins the race.
It's almost been two weeks since I potted my planties (not to be confused with my panties, which remain safely ensconced in my dresser).
The most exciting development comes from my jalapeno plant:
She's still a newborn, but growing up (or down, as the case may be) right before my eyes!
The poblano plant has some buds, so I'm looking forward to a massive increase in output soon:
The lone baby husky cherry red tomato has found some friends:
That big guy was impressive out of the gate two weeks ago, but he seems to have stalled. Maybe his chums will push him along.
I have a tiny little early bush girl tomato starting out nicely:
Right now she's the size of a peanut M&M, but I'm not fooled.
Finally, my zucchini plants are growing like mad. It's obvious that I've made a blunder here in planting so many in one trough, so my next step is to buy some more planters and do some relocating.
We've got buds!
Yes siree, I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.

Your garden is doing great! You shuold be proud.
I gotta say I am curious about what would happen if you planted your panties...you think if I planted a pair of boxers a guy would grow? ;)
Hi First time to ur blog. Loved all ur recipes. Nice pictures...
They're all doing so well! Congrats - looks like you're off to an awesome start.
That lil pepper is looking particularly tasty!
Keep us posted!
I love, love, love those pics! There's just something about a garden and growing veggies that makes me happy. Keep us posted! :)
Your plants look fabulous!
I'm thinking of clearing all the photos on my windowsill, just so I can start planting.
Your garden looks great! I need to start taking picture of mine.
Yeah garden mommy, things are looking good in the womb!
Your babies are beautiful. ;)
Looking good. I like the sound of growing your own chillies.
So jealous! I only have a couple of blooms on my tomatoes. I can't wait for the next update!
Look at how your garden grows! Wow.
Your garden is doing beautifully! :)
My, my aren't you quite the gardener. Looking good Grace! Can't wait to see what you cook up with this bounty.
Great looking garden! They are fun to have in and definitely a great sense of accomplishment. Heck mine is the only thing that actually keeps me sane during summer.
Everything looks like it's coming along quite nicely. Get something for those zucchini - they're going to start climbing soon so you'll need a trellis with twist ties or something to give them room to expand. Either that or they'll snake all over and if you're fine with that it's ok. Hahahaha - you'll wake up one morning with a zucchini saying hello.
That looks great! Its very exciting when suddenly recognizable food appears on your plants. I've been meaning to take a photo of my strawberries, lol...they're the most pathetic ones I've ever seen before! They're about a centimeter in size, red, and ripe. It took me a while to notice them.
I'm actually finding myself 'aww'ing at baby plants here; I think I'm getting too involved XD. But they're looking great! Bless their little hearts...
Everything looks so healthy and great!! My tomato plants are sprouting some red ones already so I need to get a pickin' some of 'em.
How fantastic-little babies already!
Grace,
I totally support your garden habits! And look at that jalapeno! What a beauty...you should be proud..especially with all that recycling you did with the Foldgers cans. :)
Yeah for your garden!!! Everything looks so beautiful and it's bud crazy!
Jalapeno's are something we want to grow too , but don't have any more space. :(
So cool that you have a place to garden. That jalapeno looks like it would make some great salsa!
