Mexican Street Popcorn


Makes 8 cups

  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup crumbled cotija or feta cheese
  • Cilantro, for garnish
Whisk together the melted butter, mayonnaise, lime juice, and hot sauce in a small bowl.
Separately combine the salt, paprika, and sugar.
Pour over 8 cups popped popcorn; gently toss to coat.
Quickly toss the wet popcorn with those dry ingredients, then top with crumbled cheese and chopped cilantro, if desired.
