Swirled white chocolate peppermint bark. For whatever silly reason, it seems like peppermint is really only featured during the holidays, and that's a shame!

sugar rush
Though one of the main purposes of my blog is to keep a record of recipes I love so I can come back to them repeatedly, there are some I never make again. I also rarely re-post recipes, with some notable exceptions.

fine dining at home
Mexican vanilla crème brûlée. My husband and I used to go out to eat quite a bit, but that has slowed stopped since Eva came along. I don't miss it as much as I would've expected.

i don't think you're ready for this jelly
Mint jelly and cucumber ginger jelly. Some slightly crazy things have been coming out of my kitchen lately!

grumpy gardener
Squash casserole. Fried squash is excellent, but if you want an easier, cheesier way to eat your yellow squash, I recommend a squash casserole!

pucker up
Lemon coconut impossible pie. I make impossible pie as my personal dessert treat at least once a month.

last hurrah
Cheesy meatball casserole. I made a huge batch of meatballs right before Eva was born as part of my stock-the-freezer project, and I finally used the last of them this week.

simply the best
Roasted cauliflower with parmesan and thyme. Cauliflower stinks up our house just about as badly as Brussels sprouts, but I continue to make it. That must mean I like it a lot.

fleet flitterers
Brown butter cream cheese frosting. We always tend to celebrate Easter in conjunction with my birthday, and that's fine. I'd be making a cake either way!

eat your greens
Kale and ricotta stuffed shells. I'm thrilled to report that my daughter is eating pretty adventurously, especially considering that her mother is a pretty picky eater.

new and different! #giveaway
Banana ginger jam. I like banana bread as much as the next person. In fact, I've been known to buys bananas solely for that purpose rather than wait for some to go uneaten.

pretty in pea
Pea soup with coriander. Peas go with mint just about as well as chocolate goes with peanut butter. That's a fact.

slurpy surprise
Sesame soba noodles with chicken. I didn't expect to like soba noodles. My one and only experience with buckwheat (pancakes) was a disaster (hockey pucks).

adulting is hard
Brown and peanut butter cereal treats. I loved crispy rice treats as a kid and, hilariously, even more as a college student.

sorry, not sorry
Butternut squash soup. Five years ago, I would've been very distraught about posting so many boring (but delicious!) soups.
