Snickerdoodle Puppy Chow

Makes about 12 cups
Ingredients:

  • 8 cups rice cereal (or similar)
  • 16 ounces vanilla coating or bark
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon, divided use
Directions:
Line a rimmed baking sheet or two with parchment paper; set aside.
Measure out 8 cups of cereal and set aside in large bowl.
Mix together 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and powdered sugar; put this mixture into a gallon size bag and set aside.
Melt the vanilla coating in the microwave according to the package directions.
Once completely melted and smooth, stir in the the remaining 2 teaspoons cinnamon, and immediately pour over the cereal.
Using a rubber spatula, gently stir until all of the cereal is evenly coated. Try not to crush the cereal.
Scoop the coated cereal into the gallon sized ziplock and shake until coated with the powdered sugar.
Turn the cereal out onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer.
Let set until cool, then store in an airtight container.
