where's the beef? (and a giveaway)

When you think about Hickory Farms, a basket full of sausage, cheese, and pears is probably what comes to mind. However, they're about more than just meat and cheese. They supply fruit and nuts, wine, and sweets too.

For more than 60 years, Hickory Farms gifts have been a classic holiday tradition that brings family and friends together. Hickory Farms is very proud to be a part of many nostalgic moments and continues to focus on and celebrate its long heritage of tradition and authentic holiday memories. They not only embrace passing down traditions through generations of families, but also creating new traditions and sharing them with loved ones.

The gift box of signature chocolates I received (and the one the winner of this giveaway will get) contained a collection that delivers the true taste of American confectionary craftsmanship. The flavors include Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel, Almond Butter Toffee, Raspberry Sorbet Heart, Espresso Coffee Cream and eight other rich and creamy or crunchy nut varieties for you and your loved ones to enjoy.

You can find delicious Hickory Farms products on their website or in their 600+ Holiday Market stores and kiosks across North America, as well as in select retailers.

If you'd like a chance to win a gift box like the one I've discussed here (an $18 value), today's your lucky day. Just leave a comment below telling me one of your family's traditions. You can also like A Southern Grace on Facebook, follow A Southern Grace on Twitter, follow A Southern Grace on Pinterest, and/or tweet about the giveaway. Let me know about each action in a different comment, and be sure to leave an email address if necessary. I'll close the comments in a week, on November 23rd, and randomly pick the winner, who'll be contacted immediately. Good luck, and happy holidays!

  18. We always get a picture of the kids by the tree before any gifts are opened and then they get to open their stockings while we get tea, coffee and Christmas muffins ready.

  19. We love Hickory Farms. Great giveaway! One of our Christmas traditions for many many years is drawing names for a $1 gift and opening them one by one on Christmas Eve. It's amazing what you can find for $1! But, it gets a little harder every year!

  23. I think our tradition is a pretty common one: my boys are allowed to open 1 gift each on Christmas Eve, then the rest wait for Christmas morning.

  24. My husband is in the military and since we live so far from family we have to make new traditions each place we live. In our current duty station we celebrate Thanksgiving with our neighbors who just so happen to be from the same small town in GA that my husband and I are from. It was a happy accident that we moved in next door to them and became fast friends with them.

  26. My mom and I used to bake together, then take our candies and cookies to the Barefoot Ministries for their Christmas services. She passed away 4 years ago, and now I do the same thing with my daughter. We love seeing the eyes light up when we arrive with our items. Makes my entire holiday season.

  28. Our most important tradition is spending our holidays together. We are four generations strong, soon to be five - and it is all I could ever ask for; my 88 year old grandparents are still healthy and active. There is nothing more than this. :)

  37. Had not a clue Hickory Farms had candy! Great giveaway.
Our tradition is shrimp remoulade as an appetizer. I've blogged about it because I dislike it so intensely, but Mother made it forever, and then dad insisted I make it and now MY kids want it. Imagine this is rare....a found tradition the mother doesn't like. Hah!

  40. One of my family's traditions is to have my dad carve the turkey. He used to smoke or fry the turkey, but with his age he now just orders it already cooked.
