Eat whatever you want, dang it. I pick Tartelette's butterscotch mascarpone cream layer cake...
...or anything in this post. Did you see that thick layer of frosting on the carrot cake? Good googa mooga.
Moving on...
Elle from Elle's New England Kitchen has beaned me upside the head with a new tag called "Look What I Made." Basically, I'm supposed to compile a list of five recipes that I've tried from other blogs.
The creator of this little game, Farida of Farida's Azerbaijani Cookbook, says that "this is a great opportunity to give kudos to the fellow foodies whose recipes we used and inspire them to post more of their yummies. A way to say thank you for what they do. I also think this tag will help us discover some interesting recipes and blogs out there. There are a lot of delicious recipes hidden somewhere in the archives, and this tag may actually give them another chance to shine." True that.
I don't have a whole lot of recipes yet, but I was able to dig up five:
Toffee Oatmeal Cookies from Coconut & Lime
Sweet Potato Casserole Cupcakes from Cupcake Project
Shortbread Cookies from Heaven is Chocolate, Cheese, and Carbs
Oatmeal Jam Squares from Ooh you tasty little things
Blondies from Smitten Kitchen
Apparently all I eat is dessert, and I'm okay with that. Good stuff, folks.
I hereby tag Pixie from You Say Tomahto, I Say Tomayto, Emiline from Sugar Plum, Deborah from Taste and Tell, Cheryl from Adventures of a Food Slut, and Laurie from Heaven is Chocolate, Cheese, and Carbs. Giddy up, ladies!

23 good-natured noogies:
O.M.G.
Now I need to get to a bakery today. This just makes me smile, like seeing all the cakes at Bella Napoli in Latham, only better.
I think I like the concept of International No Diet Day...biscuits and gravy anyone?! :)
Ooh Marscapone! The ultimate dessert cheese.
On International No Diet Day, I would eat FRIED. I mean, just fried EVERYTHING...pickles, Twinkies, donuts, chicken, cornmeal battered fish, fresh potato chips, meat pies, macaroni & cheese, beignets, Oreos, etc. Pretty much, you name it, I would batter it, fry it and eat it. God damn this whole thing where I'm trying to lose weight. Grrrrrrr.
You temptress, you! :-)
Anything I want to eat? Like a rare steak, french fries, onion rings, risotto, pasta, cheese, carrot cake, I could go on and on.
No Diet Day, huh? That's good, as I've just started a batch of Salted Butter Caramel Ice Cream and I'm also working on my first batch of macarons. Maybe I've said too much... :)
Why oh why did you have to link to that page with those desserts?? I ate WAY too much at a Cinco de Mayo party last night, and now all I want is more dessert!!
And what a fun tag! I actually make lots from other blogs, so I will have to play along!
Oh - I love this day. Who knew? Can't wait to stuff myself silly :)
Good choice!
Every day is no diet day for me, though. I love dessert too much. :)
holy jesus.
i observe every day as no-diet day, as i think we all should. can't we just EAT without assigning moral value to food?
easier said than done, i know. but you know what would help? a great big piece of that obscene looking cake.
Oh goodness gracious me...I mean how yummy is this! I love marscapone anything but this is special.
I need a piece of that cake! Thanks for playing!
Did you make that cake? That looks great!
I'll have to think about this. I don't know if I've actually made anything from a blog.
Are you really a guitar playing squirrel??
Or is it a banjo.
Gosh, that looks so tempting!
International No Diet Day? It better be per week, and not a year!
Oh Good Lord!! That's torture to look at that picture!!!!
That picture is absolutely decadent!
If I eat that amazing looking cake from Tartelette, I won't be able to get this butt into my new bathing suit for summer :( But it looks good. Maybe just one teeny tiny bite!
No one told me it was International No Diet Day!!! I wish I would've had a piece of this cake!
You mean I could have eaten anything I want and it would have been okay? How did I miss this?
Oh wow, I'm speechless. That cake look so good. But I didn't realise it was International No Diet Day. Oh the missed opportunities!
Ha! I definitely love the way you think!
